From the Director

Dear Parents,

Its been a busy week here at school. Last week our theme was Dinosaurs. The children learned a lot and got to make a volcano erupt on Friday. Check out pictures on our web site. This week our theme is Martin Luther King Day and Rodeo and Stock show.

We would like to welcome Lily, Lincoln, and Ruthie to our school.  We are excited to have you as part of our GVI preschool family!  Thank you to all the parents that have referred families to our school, we appreciate it as you are our best advertising.  It is neat to welcome new friends and see our classes growing.  Book orders have arrived, so check your child's folder.  Each week your child's work and other notices are sent home, be sure to check your child's file outside their classroom door each day.   We are excited to open our 2 1/2-3 year old classroom.  Ms. Kelli and Ms. Ciny have been working to set up the 7 learning centers and cubbies for your child.   If your child is moving into this classroom, you were given a letter on Friday, January 13th.  We will open the classroom on Monday, January 30th.  The class will have the same theme of the week, world language time, and follow the same daily schedule as they have had in the mixed age group.   Remember to send a heavy coat with your child every day, as the weather changes quickly in the afternoon.  We will go outside as long as the temp. is over 36 degrees. Chinese New Year is coming up soon! We will celebrate on Friday, Jan. 27th.  Ms. Cindy's class will sing Chinese songs and we will all make a dragon parade around the school.   We are asking the children to wear traditional Chinese clothing if you have it, or wear red on that day.  We will have Chinese food here for the children to sample as well.  Global Village is conducting a survey, and would appreciate it if all Parents would respond.  We need your feedback and input on our schools quality and where we can improve. Please click here to take survey.  Thanks for all your support!  We enjoy working with your children each day, and watching them learn and grow Sincerely,  Patty Stouffer Director Global Village International Preschool Parker pstouffer@gvipreschools.org
