From the Director

Parents,

It has been a great month at GVI preschools.  The children enjoyed our St. Patricks Day celebration.  Last week our theme was Spring Time!  This week our theme is "Art from Around the World."

Zumba with Ms. Becca has been a big hit with the children.  You can sign your child up at anytime for the month.  Ms. Becca has her own Zumba company and comes into our school, so all payments and questions can be directed to her.

The children continue to learn Spanish or Mandarin Chinese.  Hopefully you are hearing songs and words at home.  I ask teachers to speak their native language whenever they are in the classroom, so that children get exposed most of the day, as it benefits the children.  Please send sunscreen to school.  This will be kept in your child's classroom.  We find it best if Parents apply sunscreen to their child in the morning.  Teachers can re-apply in the afternoon.  We do our best to be preventative at school and avoid children getting hurt or accidents.  However, it happens.  If your child is injured at school, teachers treat with first aide and write up an accident report.  If the injury is more serious, I will call you to give you a heads up on what happened, and together we can decide the next best action to take. Of course, if the accident is very serious, we would call 911 and parents.   We now have a parent corner in the lobby.  Check it out and pick up resources for children and feel free to leave anything you would like to share with our families.

I hope you have a great week! Sincerely, Patty Brown GVIP Parker Director pbrown@gvipreschools.or
