Growing up in small town In Vermont, it never crossed my mind that I would one day be happily living in Fort Collins CO. Nor did it ever occur to me that I would become passionate about early childhood development. Motherhood, to my surprise, led me to my newest passion, teaching young children, while watching my daughter flourish during her years at a wonderful school where I had volunteered many hours. This led me to believe that I knew I would become a special teacher of children. Years later I went back to school and earned my CDA. I have up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications. I continue my education taking training courses in early childhood development, currently I'm enrolled in the Pyramid training class.
Working with kids for so many years, I have come to understand that children come into the world with a blank slate. The experiences, environment, adults, as well as surroundings are what shape them into who they become. Allowing children to grow explore and learn is a rewarding experience that keeps me excited as I continue to assist children of all ages as they grow.
In the rare hours when I’m not teaching I enjoy running, live music, reading, cooking, and spending quality time with my family life with my husband, daughter and our two keeshonds.
